|
|
Hi all,
i cannot find a way to set the Radiance XS to a custom resolution like 720p@120Hz or 720p@96Hz.
Service Mode is on.
Maybe it's not possible at all ?
thanks for input

Make sure your in the output menu for timings. It s a bit difficult at first to follow the menu path, but once you explore it you'll figure it out.
Also make sure you enable the service mode. Because I play with different timings a lot i set service mode into permanent so I can access
all options.
At work now so i can't look at the menu tree to guide you along.

Hi,
thx for reply.
Service Mode is enabled, but no success inside the Timing
menu.
Can you put a numeric value in the refresh rate field with the remote
or are you only able to toggle between some available values?
Maybe it has to do with EDID of the HD Fury1?

I'm not on the newest Firmware but that cannot be the problem?
With the old Lumagen HDQ it was not a problem.

You have to make a calculation first. You have to multiply the Horizontal X Vertical Pixels X the Framerate (Hz) to get the Bandwidth.
For example for 720P@120Hz you would have to do :1280 X 720 X 120. When you get the bandwidth that is required, input it, and your framerate will show 120Hz. It is a little bit different than the HDP was and I had a tough time doing it at first. Talked with Jim at Lumagen and had it running in a minute.
Let me know if you need any more help.

Thanks for that spreadsheet Craig. I have a question though. I would like to try an interlaced output. 1080i96 to be exact. What is the best way to go about that? I have not seen anything that jumped out at me to get interlaced resolutions on the net or here with the radiance family of processors.

Craig,
donwload your clock calc sheet and noticed that you mention that the clocl rate has to stay
below 148500000 Hz.
is that G90 specific ?
Usually a 1080P/60 setting is much higher than that and 72/75 Hz even higher
can you elaborate on that please?
Thanks
Michael
