Hi Guys,

i need a scaler/switcher for my videochain.
My setup is that:

Sources:
PS3 -> HDMI
PC -> HDMI
DVD Player -> Component
Cable Box -> RGB
LD-Player -> SVideo

Target: Sony VPH 1271 with HDMI 1.3 Card and a Samsung LCD with HDMI input

I need a scaler/switcher with 2 HDMI outs. Since the 1271 can only 1080i and the Samsung can 1080p, maybe a scaler with different resultion for the 2 hdmi out.
My budget is about 1200€ or in your case about 1550$.
No need for 3D in my case.

Please help me out.

With that budget, I'd recommend the DVDO Duo wih a TC1500 converter.

See:

http://www.curtpalme.com/TC1500.shtm

I would have suggested the brand new RadianceMini that is on sale within your budget until end of month, but it only has 2 HDMI inputs and only 1 HDMI output. See: http://www.curtpalme.com/Radiance.shtm

The one problem is the RGB input. The Duo does not have an RGB input so you need a transcoder to go from RGB to component for the cable box. The TC1500 is a good, inexpensive one. If you want one that's not a dongle but more of a box, consider the Box1020. It's here: http://www.curtpalme.com/Box1020.shtm

The Duo with either of these converters is well below your budget.

Finally, I'd really question some of the things you use. Why do you use a DVD player? The PS3 will play DVDs. Do you *really* use the
LD-Player?

Hi Kal,

my PS3 plays only Code 2 DVDs. And the most of DVDs are Code 1 (95% of nearly 800). So i need this DVD Player.
And yes. I use my LD Player. Sometimes i buy a hole collection of these things. I´m just oldschool:)

As far as i read correct, can the IScan do RGB/S.
2 Component (YPbPr or RGB/S) processes 480i/p-60, 576i/p-50, 720p-50/60, 1080i-50/60, 1080p-50/60

So no need for the TC1500 Box.

So i think the IScan Duo is right for me.
Thanks Kal.

Ah! Even better! I did not know that the Duo can do RGB/S.

Your need for the DVD player to play region 1 movies makes sense. I did not think of that.

Sounds like the Duo's the best option. We have it available at a discounted price here: http://www.curtpalme.com/ChromaPure_iScanDuo.shtm
