|
|
Hi,
I am running into 2 issues have not been able to figure out or find an answer in the forums... :p
Issue 1
I can no longer adjust horizontally the center convergence "box/zone" for Red and Blue, you know, the one that lets you offset the whole image for that tube. (under convergence --> random).
This used to work and for the life of me I cannot figure out why it's not working any longer. It does nothing now.
All other adjustments including horizontal and vertical for all other convergence zones work fine, it's only convergence for the center 'box' that will not work horizontally. Vertically works fine.
This used to be great to tweak slight horizontal drifts for the center that I could not nail down mechanically or with magnetics.
Issue 2
After about 2-3 Hrs watching the picture 'blinks' out and comes back slightly defocused.
If I readjust static/center focus to ~87 I can dial it back in (before it was 57) on the other zones I don't have enough range and max out before dialing in.
The annoying thing is happens after about 2-3 hours and then starts to switch back and forth frequently so I have to redial the focus or wait until it 'blinks' back.
I have swapped in a different HVPS just in case but don't have enough hours to confirm if that's where the issue is.
Using a 2035-03 VIM in case it matters.
Help! Any ideas?

Gosh, so fast, you are right on the money Nashou!
I double checked and that was exactly the problem, horizontal Red/blue works again.
Thank you!!! this was fast service!!
Any ideas on what could cause the 'blink' then unfocused condition?

Awesome, thanks!
I just recently got a replacement HVPS in and it's running in the set now. I'll find out soon enough
Shame if it's the HVPS ,it was a later 10-000310-02P Issue 3 rev b2 , looks like it was a lot better built and had nicer resistors and other parts in it too.
The replacement one is much older, 310-01P
Thanks again!

I'll give it a try (although I had already used deoxit on it's contacts before)
Any idea if the HVPS daughter boards can be swapped across 310-01P and 310-02P models?
I was thinking I could try and isolate the problem further and if possible keep what I can from the newer HVPS..
Good idea? or should I rather not even muck with the HVPS ...
