Could the RGB be it thinks it is on some PC input? BTW, RGB as an input doesn't support audio.

If you've already checked that something didn't happen to the cable or connectors on the controls, then I'd suspect whatever board they connect to - probably the main (or CPU) board.

Curt says plasmas are pretty tough to work on because one board failing can take out another, so you have multiple failure modes... Tough to troubleshoot. Of course, the new sets are so damn cheap, and therefore used sets even cheaper, it's hard to justify spending even a little bit of money on replacement boards.

I'm working on one right now that I'm hoping one board will fix. I was hoping to troubleshoot the bad component so as not to have to replace the entire board, but in the little bit of diagnosis I've done, I haven't been able to track it down.

Good luck!

So, you were able to control the display from the computer, or you mean you just connected the computer to the input that the display happened to be stuck on?

I don't remember which board it is that connects to the panel with all the little ribbon connectors, but I assume you had to disturb those when you removed the z-sus board you repaired/replaced... So, one of the panel driver connectors is probably not completely connected at the panel or board... That strip is showing lack of blue in that area... Probably a single pin not making contact. Try re-seating a couple of the connectors on the top or bottom of the board/panel, and on that side of the set, then re-booting.

Nice shot of T.J. Hooker, btw. Wink

Oh, and in case it isn't already painfully obvious - I'm not a tech. I've just been absorbing knowledge from Curt, Mac and a few other guys here, getting a little help from them here and there, doing lots of reading, and have now repaired one LCD, and am working on a plasma whenever I have a little time here and there.

Cheers,
