Anyone know if Barco 1200 H card is compatible with 1208?

I am wondering if a Barco 1200H card (part number R762108) can be put in place of the Barco 1208 H card (part number R7621085)? Or will it blow up the projector and cause smoke and other bad things to happen?

And does it fit the 1209s as well?

It will indeed fit both, but the '5' designation means it's a later board and is built a lot better than the older 1200 board. I am clearing out the newer boards at $50 if you're interested..

Thanks Curt. Yes I think I will get one from you.

My projector died a couple days ago but fortunately I had another spare H board. But even though the spare H got me up and running again I notice some distortion on the left side of the picture that I never saw before. So I suspect the 2nd board might be partially defective too. I guess I won't know for sure until I get another board to try. And even if it is a good board I still would like another good spare.

I have always ran width at the absolute maximum so that probably puts a strain on this card too.

I'll send you an email Curt.

Here is an update.

I was able to fix my old H card by using a part from another Barco 808 H module. After I installed the part (mosfet) in the old H card the projector works fine again. But I still see the same distortion. But I am getting off topic to this thread so I will start another.
