Hi Michael, Not since my first tests. I tired the largest gauge magnet wire that could fit on the bobbin
and still have the same inductance. I found it to work well but its very hard to wire it up and keep it
on the bobbin while putting the magnet structure back together. there are very thin slits on the 2 metal
magnet sections where the coil leads are routed through, the thick wire is too large
for those slits and I had to use a different method to be able to wire them up. I want to try the next gauge down.
I just procured another set of Barco coils. Maybe some time this winter. Still have some work on the blend
I want to touch up and some mods to the LVPS's i need to do(fan's mostly).
I also need to clear out my WOrk shop or make another work table in there an set up my rewinding machine.
And some motivation, I have been in a rut lately with finishing projects, start one and never finish others.

Thanks Athan,
do you have any idea what CMJohnson is up to?
he also worked on those coils, right ?
Thanks
Michael

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 9500LC right now, as a matter of fact. (FINALLY!!!) My blue tube's glycol had gone BROWN, and
green wasn't much better. I'm sealing the LC chamber aluminum with VHT epoxy paint and putting in Nashou's new bellows,
and part of the reassembly process is to test out a few Advanced Frankenyokes that are theoretically optimized for the Marquee.
I have several candidates and their magnets are set up to specific known magnetic field strength values. I'll hopefully find out what
works best and once I have that info, I'll post it.
It shouldn't be very long because I definitely want my PJ back in service before Christmas. It's getting a decent length list of upgrades,
including new lenses, the focus mods, a brand new Moome HDMI 1.3 VIM card to replace the original DVI VIM card, and a few other
assorted mods. I'm actually changing out the chassis, too, simply because my original chassis has well over 50,000 documented
hours on it and I have a much newer 8500 chassis to swap in.
