a few nights ago while sitting down to watch something i managed to pour a cup of tea down the side of my marquee8000!

it instantly went off.

i tipped it on its side for a few days to make sure it was all dry before attempting any fixes.

as far as i could tell the tea went into only the lvpsu

i pulled the lvpsu out and swapped in the one i have for my 8110.

when i tried to power on the pj i got red indicator lights on the front of the lvpsu in this order : on/off/on/on/on/on/on.

can anyone tell me what they mean?

i searched through the 8000 user and installation manuals but couldnt find the diagnostics table.

i found 1 blown fuse in the lvpsu and its the 250v@.5a

thanks.

the problem with the lvpsu from the 8110 was a disconnected multi-pin cable inside the case.

reconnected it and the pj fired right up. Smile

i then swapped the good fuse from the 8110 lvpsu into the 8000 lvpsu and reinstalled the 8000 lvpsu.

it gave the same led diagnostic lights but this time they were flickering and the lvpsu fans didnt even spin.

so i now have a working pj again but still dont know whats wrong with it other than it doesnt like black tea.

thanks.
