Hiii

I am new to these forum and did a few searches on how to connect a PS3 to a Sony laptop which is enabled to1080 full HD. without any luck.

The laptop has a HDMI port and VGA port as well.

Was thinking of buying the HDfury 2. Will it work?

Can anyone tell me whether it will work and if I need and software, drivers, or any settings.

If not?? then wat shall I do? I want to use the PS3 to play games on my Laptop...Simples

Thanks Smile

Hi welcome to the forum.

No the HDFury2 won't work for you. You can't input video to the laptop through the VGA or the HDMI port. Just output.

You would need a capture device like a Hauppauge HD-PVR and either the component cables for the PS3 or an HDFury2 to go from the PS2's HDMI port to the component input on the HD-PVR.

So in other words, just go buy a TV with an HDMI input port and use your PS3 with that.
