Are the master focus trimpots the ones shown bottom right corner of pic http://www.curtpalme.com/NECXG_Layout1.shtm

?

The one below the H deflection board, with the 3 pots on the metal circular cut out cage?

Yes, those are the main focus adjustment pots. IIRC, there was a Guy Kuo setup guide that recommended setting the menu focus to -10, then adjust the pots. The idea is to give a bit more adjustment.
