How much are you paying for those?

Not sure about cheap, but Channelmaster has a DVR/OTA for I think $300.

If you want something cheap with HDMI, maybe dig up a used Samsung DTB-H260F. It has HDMI out.

I had a 260 a while back on a direct-view CRT set and it worked great.. The tuner I was using for the main projection rig for a long time was the TS451, which was the 260's predecessor that has DVI-out (though I was only using the VGA). The 260 has no VGA, just HDMI.

The 451 I have developed a strange issue and just says "boot" forever -- It looks like it has a large BGA IC inside so I'd bet that poor solder is the culprit and it wouldn't be an uncommon problem with the 451..

After the 451 failed I went back to an old 160 which has the same issue you have, I've just been living with it since I watch very little TV anymore.

Given the choice, I'd dig up another 451 (or a 260 for HDMI) over a 160 or 360.. scan ebay & CL, you can probably find one for <$50.

The 260 is an OTA tuner only. It's small and a later model than all the rest of them, interface works well.. the 360 is a sat/OTA combo like the 160.

I have a Samsung 260F, awesum tuner, it does OTA and Clear QUAM cable too. 480/720/1080i outputs and it can power an HDFury1 without a power supply.

When I had it here hooked up to Cable I also got all the digital music channels. Unfortunately not one single free QUAM station ( thanks Rogers you cheap bastards! ). OTA stuff worked great. It's a 4th gen tuner I believe, it picked up far more OTA stations than 360. With the same antenna. Just MAKE SURE to get the remote with it. There are no buttons on the box so the remote is a must.
