Can I run duel displays from a VGA and DVI or will it just duplicate one display? Iv got a NVIDIA Sparkle GeForce GTS 250 512MB that has a VGA output and a DVI output, i want to know if i plug an adapter onto the DVI output to make it into a VGA and then plug in another monitor, if windows 7 will recognize it as two different monitors or just send the same display to both of them. Many thanks in advance, Alex.

Last time I checked the ability to run multiple displays was a given for the past 20 years. Of course, if really comes down to the operating system you are using, and the drivers it has loaded.

Nessica, understand that the DVI out has to be DVI-I for a simple DVI-VGA adapter plug to work. DVI-I can carry both digital and analog signals, but DVI-D is digital only. Since VGA is analog, you'd need a powered converter box like an HDFury, Crescendo Systems, or Moome box to make it work with DVI-D. Make it past that, and it's like WanMan says.
