So I bought new tubes for my XG about 6 months ago and started the retubing process at that time. I've finally found some time to get back to finishing it off but I've run into a couple of problems........
Somehow 2 of the 'ground straps' that go over the back of the tube and attach to top and bottom of the housing have gone missing. A question to the group - how critical are these, do they need to be on or can I get by without them?

Second problem - I can't remember which connecter on the HV block goes to which tube. I know that the green lead goes in the center but I'm not sure if when looking at the HV block from the side of the projector if the red lead goes to the left or right. I took pictures at the time but somebody deleted them off the camera.

Thanks

You could use any pieces of wire and make up grounding straps.

It doesnt mater which way the leads go on the hv block just put them whatever way is best for wire lenght.
