I'm looking for RTV black silicone, but can't find in my city GE black RTV. Just a question: all black acetic silicone are equivalent black RTV sealant?
Thanks

no, they're not all the same. Stay away from stuff designed for automotive use as it will have additives that are possibly conductive.

The black silicon I found is used to seal aquariums, so maybe it could work?

is it a problem if it is conductive when used to fix the tube front to the metal frame?

If you are only using it to glue in a tube or the glass to the front of a tube, black elephant snot grade silicon will suffice

From first hand experience, i can assure you any kind of automotive silicone RTV is NOT suitable for use around any HV, as it is all conductive enough to pass that level of electrical pressure.
