I got my new to me 1208 (450 hr of run time) on the ceiling and it so far is great. Used the chain method by myself and will never do it again it was not as easy as it looks. Fresh tubes make a huge difference the 808 it replaced had 12000 hrs green replaced 1000 hrs ago dont know how old the blue and red were. It is a little quieter than the 808 the only thing I miss is the coarse convergence adjustment is there any adjustment on any boards that will help with convergence? If the red is set to 50 in all zones and the center zone is lined up the left side is off almost a full block off so I have to use a lot of convergence adjustment to correct. The coarse adjustment would correct this. Any ideas? Thanks.

How about horizontal linearity adjustment just for the red? Thanks for any help.

Coarse convergence in newer Barcos doesn't make any technical difference, it's adjusting same convergence zones that normal convergence. It's just bit easier to use because it adjust multiple zones at one click.

First check that all tubes have yokes pushed against tubes bell and have same raster width. You can try to adjust horizontal width coils with plastic driver to compensate Hlinearity+width, first turn all coils totally in. When you are done one coil must be leaved so that it's turned fully in.

More unused raster in left side of the picture helps also to left side horizontal linearity (->convergence issues) as well to raster ringing.
