I was curious how many people have bought meters and software? Any feedback on the Chromapure with CRTs? I spoke briefly to Michael Chen of TLV and THX. He says that Chromapure is laid out almost exactly like the one he designed. He wasn't implying that Tom plagiarized him, but found it interesting that they came to the same conclusion on a layout.

I own Both, Calman is great software but i think they have a major bug with interactive mode and I think it broke my Radiances.

I have Calman 4 and an Enhanced Spyder 3. I would love to have a Klein or a Hubble after using them in the Spectracal class, but I can't justify the cost being a hobbiest.

Lets get about 10 guys to go in on it. Most here know who can be trusted.

I think if one wanted to do something like this it would be better to go after one of the top models like a Photo Research. Actually, I think a better idea is for Tom to rent a high end unit like Spectracal is doing with the Color Munki.

Even with 20 people, a PR-655 would still run about $1K/person correct? But that would be pretty sweet to get to use one! I like the rental idea from Spectracal too, but I already own an i1Pro so the ColorMunki doesn't do me much good.

Hog,
At Cedia last year, I could have picked one up for I believe $12k. That was a show discount, but it lasted like two months or so.

Man those would be sweet!!!!

Doc i'll send back your i1 Pro next week. It did the same thing as mine at 75% RED. But then LA told me to select the low light handler and raise the % value that it kicks in. Setting it to 75% eliminated my problem of it not being able to read the 75% red window and it also gave me excellent results down to 10% window for greyscale.

There is a variance between mine and Yours but not much, If you want to make sure id send it to Spectracal to be sure.
