Just looking at the adjustments available for the alignment and convergence on the 9PG, seems like it would probably be doable.
Has anyone ever done it? Would it be best done side by side with abit of toe in or one above the other? Obviously its going to be bloody hard to access the controls with the top/bottom method, unless one is floor mounted.

The answer is yes it can be done but I don't think you will find the hardware to do it.
As I recall there are special optical focus rings for a stack. As you probably know, NEC's are very picky about projector placement at installation time. Without the correct hardware, optical focus will suck.

I see, what about side by side blending using an ATi eyefinity video card?
At the moment the lens shims on the projector are for a 200 inch screen, or so they say on them, i had planned to measure the 100 inch shims and use packers to get them where they should be, but then im not sure how it will all pan out once i put it on the ceiling, i plan to mount it as low as i can and tilt the projector in order to use less keystone correction and more phosphor. My ceiling is 9 feet at the back and 10 feet at the front, so i can safely drop it down abit and not have it too low.
As it stands now with the 200 inch shims, the scan lines can be seen at 1080i 60 Hz, and its pretty good focus all over the screen, top and bottom are pretty even, side to side is also pretty spot on and pretty much the same as the center of the screen.
Thanks for your reply

1080i should be a cinch for the PG. I didn't have a problem with it, when I was running my PG and my setup wasn't great.
As for blending with eyefinity, try it. I think you would be the first. It is a hard edge blend, but if you do a good setup then it should not be that noticeable.

Art had previously did this with the Runco equivalent before going with a G90 stack. I would ask him or Ken Whicomb(his setup guy) anything pertaining to this. Art knows a lot but Ken was the one who had this dialed in spot on.

Case,
Do you have an ATI card? I am curious how the eyefinity handles each monitor or projector. If you or displaying 1080p, then does it split it in half and each image is 960x1080?

No mate i dont, but from all i read about them the answer is yes, if you go 1080p it will be 1080 high on each screen, and 960 wide on each screen, making a full 1920x1080.
You can connect up to six screens and pretty much do any resolution known to man. That is what i read anyway, and the pictures seemed to back that up.

I may try to get a cheap ATI card and try this. Of course, the last thing I need is to keep two of these Barcos.

Spanky I could always make your load a little "lighter" as far as those Barcos go

Make me an offer I can't refuse! Hell, if you gave me $3500 then I would meet you in Chicago with the pj to do a comparison at Craig's place.
