I did a final check of the PJ before I install the 'new' LVPS, and found something disturbing I haven't seen before.
I found that my HVPS has a dented corner on the casing, and about 1/3 up. See ellipse on image.
The dent is at most 3mm on the corner (like the corner has been pushed in) and less on the way up.
I wonder if there is anything important on the inside, close to the case, that could have been damaged.
I have no idea what could have caused this. I got the PJ from a recycler and it has some dents in other places, but the plate that is covering the PS isn't damaged in this area.
My guess is that is has been droped to the floor at some point when it was out of the PJ. If the interior is completely embedded in epoxi I guess it could withstand a drop to the floor.
I'm going to open it up tomorrow and try to see for myself if there are any broken bits floating around, but I guess I'm going to turn on the power if I can't find any visual damage.
Is that a bad idea? Can I do some simple check first? I don't have tools nor knowledge to search for errors in a HVPS.

That section is a rubber brick inside, so fire it up, only way to know.

HVPS is OK.
I have picture from my PJ, hooray 
Now I have to start reading everything again about settning it up correctly.
