I have a RG801s, it uses R7622942 neck cards. what is the difference between them and the R7621716 Neck Cards in the for sale section? They are out of a BD801s.

Retro version just have longer cables, because retros have different lay-out.

Those doesn't usually fail, only few resistors, caps and tube connector.

I have toasted quite a few. When glycol gets into them something happens to them. Even if you clean it out they are toast. One bas one will make all three tubes blurry as hell. Then when you power it down you will put nice spot burns on at the minimum the green tube. I have got so that I notice it and shut it down fast, the longer it stays on the greater your chances of spot burning the tubes. When you shut it off it will swirl bright colors in a blooming pattern and toast the tube.

TV/Projector: All of them!

If you suspect an issue with spot burn, you NEVER unplug the set! A way too bright screen will not damage the phosphor as I found out. Either the BArco HV shutdown will sense the excessive current due to bright tubes and will shut down the HV, or you should unscrew the EHT board and pull it out while the set is on. I can't see nuking the EHT board (I never have), but heck, a nuked EHT board is better than nuked tubes.
