Does anyone know if another sony ceiling mount like a 12xx or something will hold a sony g70?
pm me or email or post, i have been steadily looking everywhere with no luck.

Nope. The whole mount and bolt pattern is bigger for the G90 and smaller for the 12xx.
You might want to take the drawings and just have somebody fab something up for you... It'll be a little more hassle, but it shouldn't be much (if any) more expensive than finding/buying/shipping a factory mount.

ok, what about this idea ? What if i made a steel plate and welded it to the mounting plate on the g90 mount or the 12xx mount? then drilled and tapped the correct bolt pattern for the g70?

I have used an Electrohome ceiling mount to hoist a Marquee, an NEC PG, and an NEC XG. The bolt patterns are way off, I just ran some unistrut across to get the bolt patterns to line up... i.e. bolt the unistrut to the projector, and then drill new holes into the mount and bolt the unistrut to the mount. It adds 1.5" of height but does the trick just fine..

My mount is a Marquee hoist mount (has a pully system so that I don't have to kill my back lifting the projector up)
Without seeing pictures of the 1272 mount, I would assume you could use the unistrut as an adapter for this mount as well.. You could probably do it with any mount capable of holding up 200lbs...

I have a chief mount that could probably be drilled to fit the G70.

It is my hope that you'll hold out for a factory mount for many reasons but they usually start a arguement amonst the Unistrut followers
