I hooked up my HDP last night & set it to 720P output resolution.
The HTPC was connected via DVI to HDMI to DVI through my a/v receiver to the HDP.

Text looks awful. Picture is only slightly tolerable. It looked great before I put the HDP in the loop.
Dish Network HD looks great through the HDP.

well what is the resolution output of the PC? Try to match them perfectly or use the passthrough mode. its in the menu , not sure if its in the input section or output section. then you can use the PC timings and settings instead of the HDP . But you should be able to get a great pic from the PC. I used to hook up my macbook to the lumagen all the time , but i used 1080i out from the mac.

Thanks, I forgot that even though there is only one input (from my a/v receiver), the HDP will set everything to a different output rez for each signal it gets.

So even though I set the Dish Network HD DVR to 720P, when I turned on my HTPC it set that to 480P automatically.
I've now set it to 720P and it looks normal again. Smile

It's been a few years since I had a VP in my chain!

Cool, its a great little scaler. wait till you use the 11 point greyscale and gamma and each input can have 4 memories. So you can calibrate each source separately now the way you have it set up.

Thanks Smile

Ideally, there will be just one incoming source. The A/V receiver. Which will act as the switcher for all four of my video devices.

Then I want a 16:9 and a 2.35:1 memory for each video device. Which amounts to a total of eight memories.

Then I want a ninth memory for my Dish DVR for watching sports with all the lights on.
