lol Laughing

The red & blue 8500 tubes that Tim @ Etech sent me arrived with near perfect magnetics setup. When I ramp focus from 0 to 100 with contrast at max,,, the dots barely move at all Thumbs Up The lines & dots are all small, thin. Thumbs Up

I recently bought a green tube from Greg. He asked if I wanted magnets with it, and I told him I had bunches and I didn't care one way or the other.
So I get the tube in the mail, and it's all covered up with the plastic coverings, so I assumed it was a full tube & installed it without a second thought.

I start setting things up. The scan yoke was almost perfect with my screen. The convergence yoke didn't give me any convergence issues. The focus yoke was a bit off horizontally but pretty good vertically.
The dot & line size was a lot fatter than my etechvideo blue & red, but I figured it wasn't a huge deal, I'd get to it later.

And later came today.

I can go into the service menu & adjust the dot shape for every zone if I want to. Complete control. But when I removed the plastic tube coverings, I had a little surprise. No ring magnets! Laughing I had just assumed they were there because everything else was. Laughing

Btw, I had no idea you could control zone or electric astig without the magnets! lol I guess the focus yoke is still in charge of this?

Okay - I'm gonna install my spare 4-pole ring magnets now. Mr. Green

Btw, Greg gave me a fantastic deal on the green. Thanks Dude! Thumbs Up

Put on some two-pole magnets (all I have) and green spot size is now comparable to the other two. Smile
