I'm looking for a video card for my HTPC, I don't play any games so I don't think speed is too important, correct me if I'm wrong though. My IGP is a Radeon HD 3300, and I have HDMI, DVI, and VGA all on board, sadly both of my displays are analog so the digital outs don't do me any good right now, I've also read that my board supports Crossfire-X which I believe has something to do with coupling an ATI graphics card with the IGP?

I'm looking for suggestions on what to get, my last card was a Geforce 7950GT and it worked excellent for everything I needed, I need a card with two analog outs, PCI-E 2.0 interface, and plays nice with powerstrip, the ability to set video gamma like my Geforce card would also be nice!

I don't have a set budget but don't want to spend more than I really need to.

Thanks,

Erik

i suggest you to buy XFX Radeon HD 5850 Black Edition. its core runs 5.5 percent faster at 765 MHz and the memory is clocked 125 MHz higher than the stock speed at 1125 MHz. Excellent performance.

Powerstrip won't work with that 5xxx ATi card, so no custom res.

I'd get a Geforce GT 250 or similar, and use the Nvidia custom res tool.
