OK, Let's start with I am a gluten for punishment.

Now that that's out of the way, lets see if I have a grasp of what I'm about to do.

I have a Marquee 9500L/C with the newest Moome card V-2 with the MP upgrades verified by MP himself.

Currently I am running this chain Sony BDPs550 set to 4:2:2 30ft HDMI [BlueJeans Cable BJC1] Moome direct set at 16-235 Gamma full on. 25 Turns per manual.

Blu-Ray looks great but, upscaled DVD looks, well, hit and miss, good to crappy.

The thought process for the HDP PRO was it will allow for more usage of the phosphor with 235 Scope @ 817 X1920, it will also upscale the DVDs to a better performance level and it will allow for a better Gamma boost then the Moome card which IMO is over-doing it by quite a bit.

The Vision HDP PRO will also give the 1080i a boost to 96 or 120 refresh, but, I do not see flicker @60hz, so this my be of little use to me. Also the scan lines are very visible @1080i so I would like to use progressive signals 800p, 960p,et,al, or higher, to avoid that situation, unless using the higher scan rate would eliminate that issue then by all means I'd do it.

Now to the what did I get myself into part.

Will I have to do a complete re-initialization, or because GOZER is set for the highest signal it will be using 1080p@60,since the HDP PRO can not do 1080p@72, do I just set up new recalls for each refresh rate in GOZER or,do I use the HDP PRO's memory blocks to do all of these issue that are going to arise?

I have recall set-up for 1080p 1080i and 720p all using the G-2 levels that were set with the EyeOne and using DVE for levels.

So do I just do individual, PIC size, brite and contrast for each new refresh, or is it more involved than that?

Or is it the usual a little bit of all of the above?

My plans are to run the Sony @ 1080p24 to 1 DVI input and scale the 2:35 scope movies from there to 800x1920 to use the most possible phosphor and the largest possible amount of screen too.

The Sony will also send 1080p24 for Blu-Ray at full 1:78:1 movies in an additional memory in the HDP PRO.

Then I plan to use the Integra 10.5 DVD player set to native resolution [I think that will be no conversion 480i] to the other DVI the upscale to 960x1440. This will keep the scanline issue of 1080i out of the equation, and use the most amount of phosphor and screen.

The Moome card will remain set to 16-235 with Gamma turned off, as the HDP PRO will handle the Gamma better I think.

That's what I think is going to happen, but if I've misconstrued anything please point out what. [and knowing you guy's what to do about it too]

Thanks
Dave
