Hello,

Sorry I am a complete newbie to projectors but not a newbie to comptuers and electronics. I was given an NEC Multisync 9PG PG-9000 projector for free. It however, did not include the setup remote. The PJ works just fine except for the convergence is off. Since I don't have the remote I figured I would simply use my PC since it has software. So off this site I downloaded the control cable pinout, built the cable and downloaded both the DOS and Windows versions of the software.

I can not get my PC to connect with the PJ. You can tell that it tries but keeps coming up with different errors that say "Command ACK not received" you press OK a few seconds goes by then it pops up another message "PJ not Connected -- Retry -- Cancel".

Does anyone have any suggestions on resolving this issue? Or possibly have the pinout of the Option 1 Connector and Remote 1 connectors for this unit. Maybe my diagram has a typo? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I had that very same problem. I went and bought a remote.
