|
|
Hey guys,
Got a little issue with the Moome IFB card. It's installed in a 1272, and i believe it's V2, there one before the latest one anyways.
Works fine and all, except, when my bluray player is connected up to my scaler via HDMI, and HDMI out to the PJ, the "curtains close" on my scaler and the green light flashes, telling me theres no HDCP handshake.
Same thing if i directly connect the player to the card, no picture, just black. If i use component out from the bluray player to the scaler and then HDMI out to the PJ, it works perfect (but only up to 1080i, which is what i am using now).
Im actually running 720P to the PJ from the scaler, but it would be nice to be able to have my bluray player hook up to the scaler with HDMI too.
Any suggestions?

Hi Kurt,
So you run A DVDO VP30 correct ?
Have you been able to get another HDMI source component to work when connected direct to the Moome cards HDMI input ?..
Cheers..

Hey moome, just checked the back of the card. All 3 lights are lit up and solid, no blinking. (a red, yellow and green).
However, the light on the VP20 is blinking blue, which according to the manual means, no HDCP signal from TV/Display Device.

Hi Moome,
With my Video components Running 4:2:2 keeps the Video chain as pure as possable..
My Blu-ray player outputs 4:2:2 @12bit through HDMI, the VP50pro Scaler will pass 10bit in/out only for 4:2:2 (not RGB, 444 only 8bit)
so passing 4:2:2 for the entire length of the video chain provides clearly visible improvement such as,
finer gradation , less banding and finer detail..
For 24p Blu-Ray playback with Aspect ratios of 2:35.1/ 2:40.1, I am running custom 1920x817 @ 48Hz(2:2) and 1920x800 @48Hz (2:2) allowing 1:1 maping so no scaling & staying under the 120Mhz bandwidth of my G70 .. 1920x817 @48Hz = 100.260Mhz
Cheers Moome..
