Hi,
I can across a Barco 1208/2 for sale last week. The previous owner had disassembled the panel that covers the tubes to clean out dust bunnies. The yoke board was not attached and the screws for the panel had been lost. The projector had been running fine prior to the cleaning and believed that the projector should work when put back together. I decide to take a chance and bought it.
I reattached the panel. A vertical power resistor near the center of the yoke board that had been bent and had a broken lead. I repaired it, mounted the board and powered up unit.
The projector will power on and I can enter adjust mode. The green blue tubes seem to work fine.
The Runtime shows 01366 hours and the CRT wear pattern would seem to agree (I can't see any)
The red tube is not functioning. It shows a single half trace that starts an the center of the very top edge and goes off to one side.
It would seem there is a problem with the vertical drive for this tube.
I have access to an oscilloscope to aid in trouble shooting.
Can any one help me troubleshoot this problem?

Hello
I am not a Barco tech but I would scope the red vertical yoke and compare to blue/green. maybe swap yoke connectors and see if the problem moves or stays on red (bad yoke?).

Did you double check the position and continuity of the connectors ?

Return email sent. I don't think it's a V board issue. I think this is something in the video chain. A bad V board, even with partial deflection only would give a scan fail, at least from what I've seen here.
