Is there anyone out there that could shed some light on why my Pro 851 starts flashing for no apparent reason. I will be watching tv and all of a sudden it will start flashing. It flashes at approximately 1 second intervals. I will turn it off and then back on after a couple of minutes and it will be fine. Sometimes it will be fine for a week and sometimes it will act up again after just an hour. I know this thing is a dinosaur but i really like it and it's been so realiable for the last 17 or so years i've owned it. I particularly love it again as i recently bought a wii and it makes gaming a real blast. Thanks in advance for any info on my dilemma. Gerry

Usually that's the focus block. If you have the one piece one, those were misdesigned, and eventually failed. I replaced dozens back in the day. The newer 2 piece ones will last the life of the set,.
I've got one at $150 incl shipping.
Cheers!
