Only 56 hours....obviously not much time put into the presentation or description. Caveat Emptor.

Installed by the previous owner of the home. I doubt he paid anything for it. Yet, he wants $5K? I agree it is really strange that every word is capitalized. I wonder if he does that in real life. It'd be quite annoying.

I just hope it finds a good home.

Shame it only has 56 hours... guess the previous owner had more money than time. Maybe watched one movie per month for a year or two.

I have three clients who bought used G90's with six hours on the clock. I mean, it's amazing to think a projector will be bought and installed and never used, but it happens a lot.

The other possibility is that the Dallas chip failed and the hour counter went back to zero. It is a real possibility. If the unit has no serial number in the menu than that is what happened.

Its first fault is it doesn't have the Palme guarantee!!! For that price I would rather buy it from Curt.

I see it often as well (with digitals). I think it's just a "look what I've have that you don't" ego boost for some of our clients. It is a shame and it also makes me a bit envious, but then I probably wouldn't have much of a job without clients who can afford to lay down a boatload of cash on a passing fancy like that. It does make for some great bargains every once in a while though. Very Happy

You would have to be nuts or just have too much cash or both to spend that sort of money with no guarantee but then again isn't that the sort of person who purchased this one originally!!!

I'm pretty sure that the seller is getting this for free from the home owner. He never told me the condition of the tubes nor the hour count, so I made him an as is offer assuming tube wear, and also told him that if he'd get me pix of the tube faces, it could be worth more. No response, now it's on eBay. Not sure if I really buy the 56 hour count, I'd still want tube face pix.

Asked seller to get pics of the tube faces and another of the menu screen showing SN and hours. He said he would ask the owner to get the pics I requested. I'm not holding my breath.

At 56 hours you would think he would publish all the pics you could want just to show off how good this thing was at only 56 hours.

This could very well be a great 56 hour G90. Non-CRT people don't know to take pics of the things we need, so this could all be legitimate. But I for one would not buy the projector without at least a clear pic of the green tube with the lens off. It shouldn't be hard for a carpenter to remove four screws and pull the lens. No photo is fishy, but a good shot of the green tube would make me pretty confident.

I forwarded the listing to my G90 client from last week who almost went and bought a new G90 for $25k. I don't think he will buy the eBay G90, but he might.

Info I got was that the unit had been in storage, unopened until last Dec. It was unpacked and installed to help sell a $5 million house. Sounds reasonable but I'd still wanna see the green tube face and confirm the hours hadn't reset.
