My Barco 808 blue tube stopped working. I was adjusting the gun when it slipped and slid forward. It did not fall or anything, but when I turned the unit on today, the blue tube did not come on with the other two. I noticed that at the end of the tube, it looks like it has come slightly apart from a small circuit board since I can see the pins. It is roughly 1/4 inch pulled away from the board. the other tubes are seated very close to their boards. Is this the problem and if so is this something I can fix. I know it's pretty dangerous to play around on the inside of these things, but I am wondering can I just push the board back to the connector and see if it snaps back in to place without getting fried to a crisp? Thanks in advance.

Re-seat the neck board with the power turned off.

Rubber gloves are optional........

Wink

What were you adjusting on the neck board and why ?

Wasn't intentionally adjusting anything on the neck board, just made a mistake while adjusting the alignment of the blue to the green tube....unscrewed the wrong screw (noob over here) and next thing you know the tube slid forward. I will give it a shot in the morning. Thanks for the advice and I will go with the rubber gloves!!

CO does seem to be a hot bed for CRT's...Wonder why?...I think Indiana has Cliffy and I...Most others seem to have switched.

Nice to hear you are up and running !

My first CRT projector was an BD 808 that I bought 11 years ago with 500 hours on it from a university (Y2K thing). It's still running strong and never needed any repairs Cool

I am hoping that mine will be just as easy Tom, (fingers crossed). I've only had this for 2 years, but with all of my deployments and such I really can't find the time to set it up properly. Hopefully before I roll again it will get finished so that when I come back this time I can actually enjoy it...LOL! Oh yea, thanks for the tips, I needed those.
