Has anyone sucessfully upgraded this player with the 1.38 firmware? I downloaded it from Pioneer's website and burned it to a cd as they said, but my player just says it's a "data disc" and won't read the information. I need it to allow dts-hd audio to run out of my 7.1 analog outputs to feed my ancient receiver. My firmware version now is 1.08. Thanks for the help in advance.

Did you burn it as an ISO image file, or just burn a data disk with the downloaded file? The key is, I believe, to burn an [ISO] image file.

Ha Ha,
Wanman I got it to work. The first time it didn't burn correctly. BD now loads faster and plays DVD tittles that it wouldn't at first. Still working on the HTPC though...haha take care.
