The white wire on Barco projectors that joins the splitter to the frame is that made of some special material or is it simply an ordinary piece of wire. I recall Curt saying somewhere that this wire was difficult to attach if broken.
If its special in some way what can I use to replace it. I have a Frame that the splitter has been remove and I wish to attach another unfortunately the white wire is too short.

It's teflon coated, which makes it a pain to splice. I tried swapping the wire with a regular shielded one, and the set ended up not working, but that was about 10 years ago when I was just getting into Barcos. I have a feeling any type of wire will work.

The "white wire" is coax - with an inner conductor, very delicate insulation,
and a braided ground. It takes some care when soldering, you can get
the inner conductor so hot that it will melt thru and short to the braid.
Of course this can happen with any coax but this is just so small....

Is that why its coax because it gets hot? If so can I use two separated wires?
I have a manual that I purchased from Curt which seems to be complete but there is no mention of the splitter.

I think it is coax because they are trying to reduce electrical interference.
The "white wire" carries the feedback signal for the HV back to the HVPS...
I have not measured the voltage but should be in the service manual...
Ile may know if he is around...?
