after my hdfury2 and gammax was installed my projector was re converged in 480p setting. i changed it to 720p and 1080i to try and converge it and it didnt even have an option to do that on the screen anymore. it just dissapeared. i have to save a memory setting and converge each one. i couldnt clealy understand it in the instruction manual. is there anyone familiar with this process or have had this experience that can give me a few tips on saving the different settings. bottom line i need to figured out how and the steps to be able to set up the convergance in 1080i and 720p since they dissapeared after converging in 1080i.
the picture looks dam good in 480p i cant imagine how good its gonna look when i get the higher resolution set up.

I have two DWINs and I have re-read the manual a dozen times. I am very tech savvy and I still have no idea how to set the different preset frequencies. The manual makes no sense at all and generally assumes you are using a transcanner which is wildly outdated.
Basically the DWIN will recognize a signal that is supports and lock onto it. How to keep multiple ones though is anyone's guess. I solved this problem by setting my PJ at 720p with a DVDO outputting that no matter what signal it accepts. So if I watch a bluray, or a dvd, my PC, or satellite, they all go through the DVDO which will then down covert or upconvert the signal. It works beautifully. With the DVDO I also have full aspect ratio control as well as color, gamma, hue, etc.
Once the convergence is set on the DWIN it is all done and the DVDO does all the hard work. DVDO is also super easy to set up and has test screens etc as well.
The DVDO also supports negative sync and has HDMI inputs so you can get rid of the Fury and the gammax.

First step would be to set the GammaX to INV when running 720p and 1080i

480p is usually negative sync. 720p and 1080i are usually positive sync. Your projector requires negative sync.

You set your source to 1080i, connect the HDfury to the GammaX set the HDFury2's side switch to RGB and the GammaX to INV and plug in both power supplies.
Then you'll need to do the setup on your projector.
Bypass the transcanner and connect direct for this.

It may help you understand all of this better.

good info but im past that step. i converged at 480 i changed my settings to 1080i went to reconverge projector again. the option to do convergence was gone in the menu. so i searched everywhere, and could not find the option to even converge again. im hoping maybe to find out what needs to be done to find the option, to converge in the menu again, for the different setting

Ahhh ok gotcha. Then I'll bow out and let the Dwin guys chime in. Good luck.

Gotta setup the input before it gives you setup options. No real explanation of how to fo it in the manual, I always assumed I didn't know how cause I'm a noob. Last time I think I hit copy and picked an open memory and it worked. Luckily I use an htpc so I've only had to do it once.
