Well, I said "crap on it" and bought a set of Polk LSI-15 speakers. Now I have these two Energy c200 speakers I am not using. They sound awesome so I thought I would use one of them as a center channel; speaker to replace my old MBQuart speaker. then I thought "Why not use them both?" So do I hook them up parallel or in series? I'm using a Pioneer Elite VSX-29TX that I bought off Curt.
Thanks again Curt! I bought a receiver for cheap off of you and spent a bunch of money on new speakers because of it.

If you hook them in parallel you are increasing the load on the amp and could possibly damage it. If you hook them in series it reduces the load compared to the other channels so you will probably have to increase the center channel volume level. Of course it would depend on the SPL of the centers as to the level increase or not.

Just did some research and found out there is a 2KHz cancellation if I use 2. I guess I'll just use one and store the other. Thanks for the input though!

For what it's worth, I use 2 center channels and it is VERY nice. Polk CS350 LS. I run from the lexicon processor to the Adcom 555 and split the signal to the left and right at the amp inputs. Outputs 200w 8 ohm to each speaker. The speakers are side by side above the screen.
I ALWAYS had dialogue issues with a single center channel. Never any issues with dual.

So use both and connect them serial rather than parallel?

I thought serial and parallel would involve how you wire the speakers after the amplifier if you were connecting them all together. But I really know squat about audio...I just know this works well for me.

Yes Ray, serial and parallel is usually after the amp.
What Ray is doing is taking the mono preamp signal from the receiver and connecting it to a separate 2 channel amp using a Y connector, so he's connecting it to both left and right channel inputs. Then he's hooking up each center speaker to the amp separately, one to the right output and one to the left output.This is actually a good way to use dual centers or subs.

Well, I have a spare Onkyo receiver I'm not using. Seems simpler just to wire them to the center channel output.

I know, right? I was more concerned that I wouldn't be able to generate the 1.21 gigawatts I needed to power my flux capacitor.
Seriously, sound is subjective so I hooked it up . . .serial . . .side-by-side . . . sucks . . . hard. Just doesn't sound right. I guess I have one more c200 than I need.
