I have a Runco DTV 991 Manufactured in 10/99 with a Faroudja DVP3000 video processor. After reading much detailed info on this site i need some input before placing an order.
1 - it appears this projector is a good candidate for using several converters to display HD info versus scrapping if for a new projector. Comments?
2 - the projector cross reference list says it is the same as a NEC XG75. to add HDMI would my best option for quality be the NEC XG-FULLHD card to install in the projector?
3 - Is it correct i will still need to use the Faroudja for processing any Svideo and composite video input?
4 - To send a HD image to the projector from my Comcast cable box using component out from the box to the Faroudja processor i will need a component to _________ converter? THe cable box has a DVID out, would i be better off converting that signal to the YCrCb input on the Faroudja using what converter?

I haven't seen a new projector that reproduces colors as well as this one so i hope all this will work!javascript:emoticon('Very Happy') Very Happy
