Two problems came up I was trying to set up my ECP 4500.
1. When enter into guided convergence, the blue tube was not light up, only red and green. However, when i hit 'EXIT' from convergence, all three tubes was on including the blue.
2. How to adjust the vertical position of the red tube? I can adjust the red tube horizontally buy loosen the two top bolts and swing it left or right. But i can not move it up or down! Now the red is off by an inch on the screen. However, the blue tube is fine!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello

You are only going to see red and green (or blue and green) at any one time in Guided Convergence. Move red with the up/down arrow keys on your remote. Push CONV and HELP for more information how to work this. Curt probably has an ECP manual for downloading.

The vertical is only adjusted in the convergence menu. THe manuals are in the 'tech tips' section on the main site.

I did download the manuals from Curt’s website. I read thru the manual several times before I start the set up procedure. I follow the steps one by one. But the manual was a bit confusing. After the green raster centering adjustment, it said ‘exit’ and ‘exit’ to save the green setting. Then hit ‘conv’ ‘2’ for random access convergence, hit ‘0’ to reset both red and blue. The cross hatch on the screen is just red and green. So, I can adjust the red tube only. Then the manual said hit ’conv’ to adjust the blue, but the screen still is only red and green, the blue tube is off! Instead of using the random access convergence, I try the guided convergence, when I hit ‘conv’ again, now the blue and green is on, red is off.
Finally, after gone thru a few trail and error, I can manage to move the red cross hatch up and down to match the green by pressing the up and down key on the keypad during the random access convergence.
Anyhow, thanks for all the advice. The next challenge will be the color balancing.
