Start with what you have, and use the wired remote in the set to set the projector up. I'm out of wireless remotes, but you pop hte wired remote out of it's plastic housing, it makes it easier to access dial the unit in. If you can't find a wireless remote here or eBay, you can also extend the existing wires to get closer to the screen.

Once you get it set up then you can decide if you want to go with Moome or HDFury or something else. I use a HDMI matrix switcher for different inputs to my HDFury then to the PJ.

Welcome to the forum, Jim!
I'll just add a couple of things to what Curt and jkruger said...
- If you used PJcalc exclusively, then your projector is probably 8-10" further back than it could be. So, you won't have quite as sharp of an image as you could, and the because the smaller image are, the tubes will wear a bit faster. No big deal really, but just FYI.
- Definitely pick up a remote on fleabay. It takes awhile to get the machine set up really well, and sitting in comfort with the remote in your lap makes the whole process more enjoyable. I don't know if he still has them, but Wallace had several RM-127x's for sale. - https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=15439.html
- Save your money for now and pass on the Moome card. I compared the older Moome card to my HD Fury 1 directly on my G70, and if there was any difference between the two, I sure couldn't see it... and that was on my pristine super-low-hour G70. If you had a G90, maybe it would make sense, but for your machine at this point, for $140, the older HD Fury (advanced kit) is a no-brainer. I use it every day along with Kim's BUF2000 gamma booster, and I have really excellent PQ.
- Pick up a Monoprice IR HDMI switcher, add an HDMI-DVI cable to the order to get the signal to the HD Fury, a few HDMI cables for source-switcher runs, and you're good to go!
Cheers,
SC

Thanks everyone!
Right now I am running S video (480) into the Quad scan elite which sends it to the PJ over RGBHV cable(1080p+)
The best input into the Quad Scan is component. ARRG!
So....Do I Adapt the HDfury into the quad scan component inputs for the best performance? Which is 720p or 1080i for the 1272?
Would it look like this, Blueray ect. to HDMI cable to switcher, HDMI to HDFURY, HDMI to Adapter to component input of Quad scan to RGBHV cable to PJ?
PS: I sent a message to Wallace to see if he has a remote, and will check Ebay,
You Guys ROCK!

Oh, by the way its -1 at the house right now! BRRRR

You won't want to use the QuadScan for any HD source (like Blu-ray), so leave it out of the chain for best performance. You can just connect the HD Fury to the "VGA IN", which is just a pass-through and completely bypasses any processing.
Set up for source(s) for 1080i for best PQ on the 1272. So, it'll look like this:
BD player, DISH, PS3 --> HDMI Switch --> HD Fury --> QuadScan VGA input --> RGBHB to PJ
If you want to get crazy, get a GammaX or BUF2000. Those will both drive your RGBHV cable, allowing you to completely eliminate the QuadScan. But, the main point is gamma boost, so you can set the projector to product nearly a perfect black, but boost low-level signals to keep them from being lost. In that case, it would look like:
BD player, DISH, PS3 --> HDMI Switch --> HD Fury --> GammaX/BUF2000 --> RGBHB to PJ
Either way, 1080i is a really good fit for the 1272.

WOW,
I owe you brother, Thanks so much for your tolerance for a new guy!
Stumbling around trying to educate yourself about this stuff can be hard.
I'm all about getting the best performance out of the machine, Gamma boost it is!
