My CRT is actually a Runco 933....I moved it over to my fathers house and turn it on and not instead of the Runco flash screen, it has this count down of like 13 minutes left and then after it's done counting down, it goes to a screen with just the green tube one and it has a time with a date that is blank....what did I break?

I didn't send anything to it yet....i still don't have the remote....but i really didn't need it at my house. It was all ready to go. I'll take my cables over this week and try it.....and sorry i am so late getting back for the reply with your question.....i went to the BYU/Air Force game and then took my wife to dinner for her b-day.

Lets get our priorities right here! We may have a projector that's not working.!!!!!
I'm sure once you get a source to it things will be fine
The count down sounds like the screen warm up.
Not sure about the date though

There's no point in going on without the remote. Let us know when you get one.

OK.....got a remote......and went to the old mans house....yes the initial screen is the screen warm up. Can I shorten the time or will it always need 17 minutes? And I fed it a PC signal @ 640x480 and it works. However a counter is still showing at the top....how do I remove it? And should I use powerstrip for 720p? The Barco was much easier.

Have faith grasshoppa.
Turn off the warmup screen in the menu somewhere, ditto for the on screen display. That's in the menus as well..
