O.k. I have hung the Wilsonart screen. I moved the P/J to it's new position on the ceiling and did the re-initialize. Now the remote wont go for more then a minute at a time.

1] I have put new batteries in. [The old ones were only 3 months old]

2] I have checked that the remote sensor is not hiding in the P/J. It is in it's holder and facing out.

3] I have tried the G-Force test. [ I hit the side of the remote.]

The remote does work sometimes and sometimes not. It was giving me trouble before the initializing.

What oh wise ones do I do now?

ummm, get a new remote Or, remove the battery's, swap the internal jumper, and plug it back in to the chassis wire. Of course it makes set-up a bitch when your on a 2 foot leash but it might get you going.

Thanks Dragan, I went to put the wire to the remote and while I was looking at the jumpers I noticed 1 of the wire loops for the batteries had move off of it's perch/lip, so I pushed it down an under the lip and all is well. Thumbs Up

So always check the batteries and the attaching surfaces for the batteries. Rolling Eyes

The best fricken thing I ever did was toss the original remote when I installed my Crestron system. Now my PJ is controlled via RS232 and small Crestron wireless RF touchscreen (ST-1700). No fumbling around for the correct button in the dark and you can walk right up to the screen for in your face adjustments without having to point the remote at the PJ.

Bah Chip, that just means you haven't used the remote enough. I can hit any correct button blindfolded.. with the IR emitter facing me. Smile

When you're right you're right.
Having a perfectly set up AmPro, the only button I ever touch is the power button. Actually not even that. Power is part of a macro that turns on the whole system. A great automation system for a complete home theater is a must. Having a coffee table clogged with a bunch of remores that no one knows how to use but me is a royal PIA. Now all that is there is a 10.4 inch color touchscreen that does everything and a smaller touchscreen remote for tweaking.

Try taking out the batteries, pressing each button on the remote and then re-insert the batteries. This happened to me and that was the fix from AnalogRocks.
