So, I am sitting here watching some Steve McQueen movie and thinking about how he died too early. I think he died at age 50, and it made me wonder what are some of YOUR favorite actors or actresses that died by age 50.

And for Curt's sake, let's broaden the discussion to include musicians, too. Thumbs Up

James Dean...Would top my list...Perhaps overated...he was the original "Bad Boy" of movies.

Gilda Radner from the orignal cast of SNL would be my choice as actress.

Musicians...Jim Morrison of course.

Mike

Curt, I know you are Canadian, but you can't do subtraction. Zappa died at 52, but almost made it to his 53 B-Day. Mr. Green

WTF? I thought it was just Curt, but it must be a Canadian thing. Mr. Green Thumbs Up Palmer was over 50, too.

Maybe it isn't a math thing, but an English thing. Dead BY 50.

Two of my favorite comedian/actors of all time - John Belushi and Chris Farley - both 33, both SNL stars, both OD'd. Freakin' crazy. Blues Brothers and Tommy Boy... OMG, I could watch those movies over and over and over.

Oh, and John Candy. Awesome guy. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is one of my all-time favorite movies. I could watch that movie 100 times and never get sick of it. Actually, I probably have.

Oh, and if we're throwing musicians into the mix, John Bohnam - he was in his early 30's. Another favorite... Michael Hutchence from INXS - he was only in his late 30's.

Man, John Candy was the only one of my guys here that made it past 40. Sad. Drugs, alcohol, egos, free time... Bad combo.
