Anyone a fan of this show? I use to watch it on CKVR every night in the summer back in 1994.
Just found out Kowalski ( Del Monroe ) died this year on June 5, 2009 
He was my favorite character. He was always getting his azz kiked kind of like the expendable crew member in ST but without the death part

Hey....I missed this thread...Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea was one of my favorite tv shows when I was growing up....In the show there was a model of Seaview in Admiral Nelson's cabin, if my memory serves me correct...I actually wrote Richard Basehard a letter asking him where I could buy one of those models. I didn't get a model but they did send back a 3"X5" photo autographed by him in uniform, which was really pretty cool to for an 8 year old kid in 1965.
A year or two later you could buy a model of Seaview, which of course I did. Later they produced one of the flying sub too, I think the original models were produced by Revell. It looks like you can still buy knock offs.

We use to have a TV channel here called CKVR. Every night they would play the old shows from 11:30 'till 5 am. That's how I discovered this show.
It was Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Time tunnel, and other great '60's shows.
Did you know we lost Admiral Nelson shortly after his recorded the opening to Knight Rider in 1982?
There's a local guy that opened a computer museum to collect all the old stuff before it's gone. He has a working computer like the one they used in the show. I don't think his shoots fireworks though.

I watched a little bit of Voyage on Hula last night after seeing this thread, and those computer started sparking right off the bat.
It's funny the second Star Trek pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before" must have hired the same special effects guys. There were sparks flying everywhere on the Bridge of the Enterprise..They must have gotten a new team because it looked so much like Voyage. The rest of the series it never seemed to happend.
BTW the Blu-ray Star Trek TOS is incredible.. That episode is amazing to watch when you consider the show over 40 years old.
