Johnhwman or ?
I got in a G90 Ya board with an 88 red error code. That is a boot up error message. Here's what I've done so far:
-swapped Dallas chip and Boot Up chip with a known working board
-reseated all other socketed chips
-checked the power supply rails for the proper voltages (they're OK).
Still no boot up.
I even tried resetting the ROM and RAM reset buttons, but with no proper bootup, I don't think the board is even recognizing the commands.
Any other ideas? John, do you want me to send it to you?

I also checked all crystals on the board to make sure they are oscillating, and they are.

Hello Curt,
Red 88 error on a YA board at boot usually means that one Address or Data bus line is shorted or opened (as per Service manual). I've got one error like this from one of Terry's defective boards I've repaired. At this time I found that the random failure was due to one of the SRAM chip beside Main processor (latchup of one address line). I've replaced the IC and this has solved the problem.
Hope this helps
John
