Hello,

I've bought one Barco Data 808s form ebay austria for 100€.

But the Blue and Green tubes are very bad (Rating 4-6).

Which tubes are compatible to the BD808s ?

180DVB22, 180DMB22 but are there also others ?

greets

PT18-205 are higher resolution versions of the 180DVB's, they'll work.

p16lnq and p16lnp will also work and are also higher resolution tubes. Also remember the DMBs need to have a neckboard mod to work in Barcos.

I thought the 808S used the hard to find Sony tubes? If so then none of the Panasonic 180's will work.

Barco DATA 808s's often have Panasonic tubes in them, GRAPHICS usually have Sony tubes in them, but with Barco, there is no hard and fast rules like that. I have a GRAPHICS, a high resolution model, which has Panasonic tubes installed from the factory.

Also earlier Cine8s used Sony tubes as well. Later ones went back to MECs. You can put MECs into a Graphics 808s by getting the CRT mounting blocks (front hardware) for MEC tubes and either modding the necboards or getting the MEC neckboards. The problem is more finding the parts than any technical difficulty in swapping the parts.
