I just picked up another NEC 6PGXtra. It has more hours but doesn't have the burn in on the green like my current one does. I was trying to figure out whether to use the 144's or the 145's. Suggestions?

144's are marginally better anyway.

Are the scratches on the front or rear elements and are both color filtered or clear ?

Both are color filtered, and the scratches are only on the green's front element.

The front element is a good thing ! The HD 144's might focus a bit closer to the screen. I like the 144's but Galen seems to prefer the 145's either way small scratches on the front element should not be noticeable in the projected image.

Make that "small scratches on the front element will be utterly invisible in the projected image." You won't see it AT ALL.
