Heads up to anyone thinking of buying the Disneynature's 'Earth' documentary which comes out Sept 1, 2009 on Blu-ray:
It's essentially just a bunch of segments of the existing (excellent) BBC documentary "Planet Earth". They've just taken some of the parts and created their own (shorter) documentary with James Earl Jones narrating instead of David Attenborough.
Save your money if you already have Planet Earth. You won't get much of anything new. If you're interested in this sort of documentary pick up Planet Earth instead. A lot more content (550 minutes instead of 90 minutes) and it's certainly worth the price. It's phenominal.

The sale price of $55 is a pretty good deal since you basically get the equivalent of 5 full-length movies of entertainment not to mention that you'll learn something to boot (there are 11 one-hour episodes). I paid considerably more for mine. (Sigh)
