HD broadcast fed to my NEC XG75 has been so much better than upconverted DVD fed to my NecXG75
via Extron DVS204 scaler that I decided to step up to Blue Ray ( Panasonic BD-55). So I hooked up a HDFury (Version 1)
but the Red Picture Tube on the Projector flickers with this connection. The connection is: Panasonic BD-55 to 15' HDMI cable to HDMI/DVIAdapter to HDFury to 6" vga/rgbvh cable to NEC XG. Any ideas? Surprised

If you you swap the R with the G (or B) on the 6" breakout lead does the flicker move as well?

I haven't tried that. I will do when I get home tonight and let you know. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Mark:
I tried your experiment with swapping the green and red breakout leads and I'm now getting the red and blue, but no green at all. When I swapped back to the way it should be connected, the green came back but red is now out, no flickerig -no color at all. What does this mean?

Thanks to Mar A W for the suggestion to diagnose my "Unstable Color with HDFury". After swapping out the Red and Green Leads on the 6" breakout cable, I removed the cable completely. Then I attached the HDFury 's VGA port directly to VGA distribution amplifier and viola I got a stable signal. I'm now concluding that either the breakout cable is defective, or the 15' HDMI run is too long for the HDFury. I'm guessing that the solution is to either replace the breakout cable or to add a power supply to the HDFury. Does anyone know where I can get a 6" VGA/RGBVH breakout cable and a power supply for my HDFury (version 1)?
