Hello.
As the title implies I have just pulled off the PT-65 lenses from my old sony and put them on
my bd808s instead of the stock hd8b.

I did this because several threads here seems to sugest that the pt65 are sharper than the hd8b.

And indeed it seems like that is so.

The center of the picture is nice and sharp and so are two of the corners...
which corners varies among the three tubes.

Problem is the bd808s does not come with schiemflug-adjustments apart from a bunch of washers.

So has anyone solved this problem before?

I was thinking of putting a very thin nut on the back of each of the four corners of the lenses...that would allow me to
adjust things although i suspect they might be "a bit" difficult to get at after I put back the lenses..

Just stack the washers. Not sure if you could reach the nut. Could be a fun experiment thoguh.

On my buddy's 12xx, I used nylon washers. Nylon is good because if you drop one, it's nothing to worry about. I started by shoving them in the gap and tightening the nut. Once I had the gap right for best focus, then I took it apart and installed the washers on the stud. Bada bing. Takes a little work, but it's not really worth engineering something adjustable when you'll probably set it once and forget about it.
