Comcast offering 1080p HD box?

This is a new one on me, mind you I don't follow US cable/satellite boxes...

A US based customer that I'm doing some work for in Whistler mentioned via email today that Comcast is offering a 1080p HD box. Now, to the best of my knowledge, no provider is offering 1080p via HD, so if such a box exists, I'm assuming there's a mini upscaler in the HD box to convert the 1080i to 1080p?

Or is there no such thing available in the US? I know Bell ExpressVu isn't offering such a device in Canada.

Dish Network is offering 1080p for Dish On Demand...You must have one of their high end DVR's to get it.

As far as Comcast I don't think so.

I think its only their VOD content. DirecTV is offering this.
