After managing to get the LG GGC H20L to lightscribe and work from sata port on my new mobo m2n68 using windows vista ultimate 64bit.
i find that when i try to playback blu rays using Powerdvd 7 i get no disc in drive problem.
i have tried using the Anydvd which was very sucessful while the blu ray drive was connected to the ide port, but now it has reversed.
i can use the drive on sata to lightscribe and burn data but not playback.

i have got an asus nvidia 8600GT graphics card
I have updated the drives firmware
and the mobo's bios,
so everything is up to date, just dont understand now why i cant play back movies.
can somebody help.

That's odd, you may need a UDF driver. Although from what I understand you shouldn't need one with Vista, only XP.

Do you have your SATA ports set as raid in the BIOS? That can F'k things up too.

no everything is set up correctly.
If you recall a while back i was having trouble with the sata, so used ide instead and with AnyDVD i could watch blu ray,
but now this whole issue is really p*** me off, first sata wont work, so i use ide, no sata does work , due to the fact that i replaced the sata cable, it will lightscribe, and maybe read and write data, but playback, well, things are never simple...
i tell you by the end of this i should be an expert at it.

so the situation is:
sata is set to sata mode and not raid, although i will check later just in case,
but i would have thought that if it lightscribes, than all the rest should be fine.
but no no playback.... Mad
