So, while sitting retubing an XG110LC with fresh new minty tubes (haven't had an XGLC set up in the shop for probably 18 months, DAMN nice picture), I started on this stupid train of thought about me being a TV repair guy if I put myself at the low end of the totem pole, but then again, if I embellish a bit (something like that job list that stay at home moms are), I am...
-technician
-welder (OK, with a soldering iron)
-social studies teacher- teaching people on the east coast that 9AM EST <> 9 AM PST.
-interpreter -trying to figure out what a non tech is trying to say when he says the picture is 'squiggly'
- GPS- telling people where to find stuff in their sets.. and in their owner's manuals
-soothsayer- 'I predict your digital will die within 3000 hours'
-mind reader - You mean 'component', not 'RGB'.
-engineer -trying to figure out what the manufacturer was trying to do
-reverse engineer -figuring out how to do it right.
-demolition expert- when you miss one tiny shorted transistor and the board you worked on for 3 hours goes up in flames.
-stunt driver- bringing 11 Barco CRT projectors from Idaho home in a Rav 4.
-philosopher- 'You could buy a DLP, but down the road you'll regret it'
Feel free to add to this list, any customer service person/techy will probably appreciate it.

How about professional firefighter for when that board goes up in flames...
Or professional weight lifter/body builder for moving those heavy MF'ers around....

I've seen photos of your basement, Curt... Warehouse manager? Head of shipping/receiving? Oh, and occasionally, Sanitation Engineer.

How about:
Diagnostician: Solving the impossible based on knowledge and experience
Priest: Keeping/spreading the CRT faith and helping people back from the brink of dispair
Librarian/Archivist: For all the information and documentation on your website
Geni: Granting wishes that make dreams of a perfect home theater possible.
I hope that shorted transistor wasn't on the XG110LC.

No, the 110LC is singing pretty in the shop. Working on moving the 8500 into the basement tomorrow. I'll set up a stack between the 9500 and 8500, so you can see 400 lbs of 2500 lumen beauty.

Someone with way to much time on his hands if you have time to think like this.
