I just bought a G90 from ebay that I am shipping to Australia. What is the deal with this "110v" US or "240v" Australia. I have a VPH-1272QM that i bought in Australia but I thought that it could accept AC input from either 110v or 240v. Is the G90 not the same? Or was I wrong about the 1272? If I am wrong what is the solution/procedure to get this power issue fixed. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Note: I have not received the projector yet. reading other posts about shipping to Oz have dampened my spirits somewhat of my beautiful 9" beast actually getting here intact.

I think your seller posted on AVS on how to ship your PJ

Put some dense foam on the Bottom of the projector ,Old cushions from a Chesterfield type of foam, That will keep the projectors internal Boards from rattling apart if there is a lot of trucking involved . Keep the projector decoupled from the Pallet if possible .

A Pallet and Plywood Crate will give you the best protection.

There was some discussion on AVS a while back about the 110/240 thing. I think what was decided was that early G90's state only 110, but later ones say both 110 and 240. I think what was also decided was that all the G90's could accept both.

Both the G90's I have here say 110-240 volts on them.

my G90 (110v) comes from the usa, I live in france and electricity is 220v, there is no compatibility problem, you just change the fuses for the amperage.

So the fuses that I have in the pj now are 250V 15A.....I need to get 250V 6.3A? Do I need to change both? Do the fuses have to be slow-blow or quick-block? Do they have to be ceramic.

I have emailed Curt his advice and while I am sure he knows his stuff, he didn't mention anything about changing fuses. He is of the opinion that the unit is autosensing? I have never been any good with electronics....more of a mechanical person and I just want to make sure I get everything right before I "flick the switch"
